From time to time there are opportunities
available to the general public and companies
for government funded training.
Please note that the funding can come from a
number of different sources’, such as either
state or federal government, and is normally
targeted to a select group of people, whether
that be individuals or companies, in a certain
industry or field.
Currently the most accessible funding is:
The Victorian Training Guarantee
This funding is available through the federal
Governments Productivity Places Program, but
administered through the Victorian Governments
"Skills Victoria"
Eligibility requirements apply to be granted
this funding, however eligibility is reviewed
and changed according to Skills Victoria's
guidelines and is likely to change in early
2011.
We currently run a number of these courses
through this funding on a monthly basis. Courses
are currently running at most of our sites.

PARENTS RETURNING TO EARNING
A Victorian Government initiative available to
parents that have been out of the workforce for
over two years looking after children (all
conditions are on the site). Provide up to $1000
for accredited training courses.
OTHER JOB SEEKERS
If you are currently out of the workforce, and
are wanting to undertake some training courses
in order to gain employment, or need general
guidance, Centerelink can help steer you in the
right direction. Generally they will require you
to register with a Job Network Provider, who’s
job is to assist you in obtaining employment,
and this on occasion can include the partial or
full funding of training courses. Each applicant
is assessed individually, so it is worth it to
enquire.
